DEPEND® Adjustable Underwear

For complete protection, DEPEND® Adjustable Underwear are designed to offer adults a choice of how to put on the product. It can either be pulled on and off like regular underwear, or open the side perforation and apply like a wrap-around brief.

Important Tips

  • If soiled adjustable underwear is being replaced, remove it and clean your groin and buttocks thoroughly.
  • Dispose of soiled underwear in a sanitary manner. Do not flush.
  • Wash hands after handling soiled underwear.
  • Do not get powder, lotion or oil on tape tabs. These substances may cause the tabs not to stick properly.
  • Please, always seek professional advice from your physician or health care professional if you or someone you care for is experiencing bladder control problems.

To Put DEPEND® Adjustable Underwear On While Lying Down

Unfold a fresh adjustable underwear.

Identify the front and back of the product.

  • The front of DEPEND® Adjustable Underwear look like this, with the fastening tabs in front.

Open the product by opening the refastening tabs. Locate the side panel perforation (located under the adjustable tabs on each side of the garment). Tear along the perforation on each side.

Move onto your side.

Position yourself on the bed so the top of back of the underwear (the end with the refastening tabs) is close to your waist, with the flaps open as shown.

  • Make sure the inside of the product is up, with the back of the product placed toward the head of the bed.

Gently roll over onto your back so you are centered over the center of the product.

Bring the front of the product between your legs. The front and back edges should be pulled to equal heights on the front and back of your waistline.

Adjust the product to fit closely by pulling it snugly against your groin. Attach the fastening tabs on to the front flaps of the product.

Re-adjust the underwear for a close comfortable fit.

  • Be sure to move any folds of skin, especially on your inner thigh, to prevent leaking and chafing.
